| Intern’s work assignment and responsibilities: Apart from various, day-to-day duties, the intern will work on three main projects: the French Wine Scholar online program, School/Wine Instructor recruitment and special events. Marketing/ Promotion: The French Wine society is currently expanding its network of schools around the world. The intern will find new schools with which to partner and will work closely with the Education Programs Coordinator to reach the overall company goals. The French Wine Scholar (FWS) program: The FWS program encompasses a series of academic courses offered by the French Wine Society for both wine industry professionals and the general public. The Education Director of the FWS is taking this content and putting it online. Intern will find pictures/graphs/tables/diagrams/etc, to aide and enhance comprehension, for placement within appropriate sections of the FWS e-learning modules. Special Events: Intern will initially revise and improve existing promotional materials as well as create new ones for some special events, including seminars, classes and wine tastings. English language skills will be used extensively for editing written pieces. Additionally, intern will take the lead in obtaining the participation of relevant importers/marketers/etc in the event, as well as assisting in the preparation of the event. Day-to-day duties may include: making and answering phone calls, editorial consultations for other employees (on similar projects), and data entry for the website. Intern’s requirement: -Must be 21 or older, -Knowledge in wine industry and/or in French wine recommended, -Excellent organizational, project-management, communication and writing skills, -Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications -Knowledge of HTML & Photoshop a plus.
